About
Origin
Adapter Canvas Point began on Queen Street after years of sitting in rooms where overnight jobs had failed and nobody agreed which system was at fault. The pattern was familiar: applications were blamed in turn, while the adapters between them — the mapping rules, retries, and quiet drops — stayed poorly documented.
We chose the name for the working habit we keep: put the adapters on a canvas first, then annotate what the logs actually show.
What we practice
Our work is application analytics for integration adapters. That means tracing how records move between systems, where identifiers get rewritten, and which connectors absorb errors without telling anyone. We write findings people can argue with productively in a change board — not slide decks of abstract maturity scores.
People and approach
Engagements are led by practitioners who have owned adapters in wholesale, health administration, and regional logistics settings across Australia. We prefer small teams: one lead for the canvas and brief, one support for sampling and transcription. Clients always keep ownership of their systems and access.
Values we hold to
- Name the connector. Vague talk about “the integration” wastes the room.
- Paper before logs. Drawing the intended handoff exposes missing owners early.
- Mild certainty. We state what the samples show and what we could not verify.
- No install tax. Assessments do not require you to adopt our software — we do not sell any.
Melbourne base
Workshops and readouts often happen at Level 11, 28 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. Remote review is normal for interstate clients when log access can be arranged securely.
